The Hidden Life of Trees Book Discussion

The Canton Library is sponsoring a discussion of the book, The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How they Communicate by Peter Wohlleben.  A number of our members will be joining them for what promises to be an interesting discussion.

Are trees social beings? In this international bestseller, forester and author Peter Wohlleben makes the case that the forest is a social network. He draws on groundbreaking scientiβic discoveries to describe how trees are lik human families: tree parents live together with their children, communicate with them, support them as they grow, share nutrients with those who are sick or struggling, and warn each other of impending dangers.
