Winter Solstice Walk. In observance of the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, Martha Simons is organizing the third annual Window Solstice Celebration in the Butchers Hill neighborhood. What’s Next members are invited to join in two events to celebrate.

Gather in small groups to follow the window route and sing songs that celebrate the return of light (i.e., “You Are My Sunshine” “Mr. Sun”). Be sure to ring bells or rattle pots and pans in front of each home to help encourage the return of the sun.
