Mandala Friday in Patterson Park
Friday, November 26, 10am
What’s Next members meet up with Martha Simons, event organizer, at the Bull Circle at 10:00 am for cider and donuts before mandala making. We warmly invite you to celebrate our sixth annual Mandala Friday on the day after Thanksgiving. Mandalas are ritual circles representing the universe – the microcosm of the health of our own bodies beyond the cellular level, the safety and love of our immediate family, the care and concern for our neighbors, the love we extend to others we have not yet met, the reverence we have for all of nature including the plants and the bugs and the animals, and the clean air and water that nourishes all of us, our Earth, moon, sun, solar system and universe and whatever lies beyond. This is an unstructured event from sun up to sun down. No need to register or check in. Find a lovely spot in the park, collect some beautiful leaves, branches and pine cones and arrange them on the ground in a circle. Please respect the park and use only leaves, branches, nuts, etc. that have fallen naturally. Take a leisurely walk to find mandalas created by your neighbors. Need some inspiration? http://tinyurl.com/h5fa4og Can’t make it to Patterson Park on Mandala Friday? That’s okay, make a mandala in your own backyard and join us in spirit. This is a public event open to anyone interested.
