Appetizer Party

Friday, July 19, 5:30-7pm

In case you missed the announcement last month: We are having an appetizer potluck party! Do you have a favorite appetizer that you want to share? Do you have a new appetizer recipe that you want to try? Here is your chance!

Come to the party and share a plate of your homemade appetizer with What’s Next friends. Please be sure it’s ready to eat, no heating/re-heating required. Bring your own beverage.

July Happy Hour

Each month on the second Thursday, What’s Next members gather at Ministry of Brewing. You are welcome to join - no RSVP is required. Bring something to share if you feel like it. In case you haven’t been yet, Ministry of Brewing allows food to be brought in.

Fiber Arts Group + Music

Nancy’s House

The monthly meeting of the Fiber Arts Group is working on a special project this month. Nancy will be leading an activity where participants will be making felt covered soap. If you are interested in joining this monthly group to work on and talk about fiber projects, RSVP to hello@whatsnextbaltimore.org and let us know.

Book Group

Tuesday, July 23, 7-8:30pm

The book group will be discussing Lincoln on the Verge by Ted Widmer at their July gathering. If The group plans to continue alternating between fiction and nonfiction. Please send an email to louisaldavis@verizon.net if you need to know the location for the gathering or if you are interested in joining the group. 

Game Night

We are still looking for someone to lead a couple of sessions of an Outdoor Game Night (or afternoon) for the summer. What’s Next members have various games (croquet, ladder ball, bocce, etc.) that could be used. If you are interested, send an email to hello@whatsnextbaltimore.org. Members that have organized these events in the past will be happy to provide support and advice. What’s Next is a volunteer-led, volunteer-run organization, and this could be someone’s opportunity to step up to support the organization.

Friday Bike Rides

Fridays, 10-11:30am

Kurt Schiller (kwschill@msn.com) is still recovering from a broken collarbone. The Friday bike rides are still on pause.

UkuLaLas!

Tuesdays, 10-11:30am
Saturdays, 9:30-11:00am

The UkuLaLas continue to hold their Tuesday strums outside in Patterson Park at the Observatory at 10am, with Stroller Strum starting at 11:00am. They will continue their Saturday morning strum inside from 9:30 to 11:00 at Maxine’s Gallery at 126 N. Madeira St. 

All What’s Next members are welcome. We happily include all musical instruments and singers. Leave us a message at hello@whatsnextbaltimore.org if you have questions or need to borrow a loaner ukulele. And don’t worry if you are new to playing; we have small-group beginner sessions to help you get started.

Annual Dues

Just a reminder that the annual dues of $10 per person are due in January of each year. You can follow the link to pay with PayPal on our website. Want to drop off your dues? Put them in Beth’s vestibule (through the mail slot) at 12 N. Collington.
